MÃÄD fabrics

Since 2017 I have been dyeing items in natural fabrics that arrive in their white/raw colors. Since 2018 I have been buying fabrics and having them cut and sewn under my own pattern by Italian or Catalan companies.

I used merino wool and vegetable fibers such as bamboo, pine, coffee to which the companies that produced them added 5 0r 8% of spandex or elastane to give elasticity.

Every fabric I used had the best quality certificates and was produced with respect for workers and the planet.

Since 2021 I have decided to only use 100% extrafine merino fabrics. I have understood over the years that elastane is not a material made to last and is a by-product of petroleum, a compromise that I am no longer willing to support.

I would like to find natural fabrics made of vegetable fiber to satisfy vegan customers but unfortunately at the moment I can't find any that are 100% pure fiber without elastane.

If you are vegan and would like a MÃÄD garment, write me an email at info@studiomaad.it and we will try to find a solution.

So, what I use now?

I actually use only 100% merino wool cut and sewn in Barcelona, Spain. This organic fabric is Oeko tex certified and made in Czech Republic. Wool comes from Australia and cotton thread is made in Spain. We make with this incredible fabric unisex sportswear garments: T-shirts, base layers and bike jerseys that are suitable as a everyday clothes and all the sports.
